Restaurant and Catering with a Puerto Rican Caribbean Flair !!
Dear Patrons and Friends of Gran Sabana Restaurant (AKA-also known as) Los Paisanos Buffet and Catering:
It has been five years since we began pursuing a dream to open a restaurant that nourishes a community with delicious homemade Puerto Rican, Cuban, Venezuelan and Caribbean food. Our experience as the Pioneers of the Puerto Rican Cuisine in the Carolinas (Greater Triangle) Area, has been successful and immensely rewarding; in large part thanks to you.
At the same time, as many of you realize, running a restaurant in the way that we do requires a great deal of personal sacrifice. We've been feeling the strains for a while now – physically, emotionally and financially – and have concluded that it's time for us to move on to new adventures.
We will be selling the restaurant and our immediate plans are to take a long [and long-overdue!] vacation. We hope to get a clean break from our lives as restaurateurs and recharge our batteries.
Although we are confident that our decision to sell the restaurant is the right one and we look forward to what lies ahead, this transition is painful nonetheless. What we will miss most of all is our customers, who have been a constant source of inspiration, motivation and friendship. You are the ones who have allowed us to live this dream.
We hope that in return we've enriched your lives by providing a distinct brand of Puerto Rican, Cuban and Caribbean cuisine, by upholding high culinary standards and promoting a new cuisine to the area. We've also enjoyed helping breath new life into an old Shopping Center in a neighborhood that deserves access to good food.
Our last day shall be February 28th. We shall miss you all! Thank you again for all your support.
